My weekly list of what I’m enjoying or pondering - Weekly Chatter 4.
What I’m excited about
I am happy to share with you that the first MS Data Platform Vilnius Meetup took place on July 10. We shared our experiences of using Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
Special thanks go to The Hub (Bendradarbystės erdvės) at Martynas Mažvydas National Library. If you are interested in big data, open data, or information analysis overall, The Hub is building a community of data professionals. The library offers so much more than books!

What I’m exploring
Cold showers. It might sound like a sadomasochistic move, but I wantto understand the hype about the cold showers. Increased mood and alertness, strengthened immunity and circulation, bushy chest hair (increased testosterone) ;). So far so cold, though I’ve observed an energy boost and relentless desire to roar and swear.
Activity I hate, but I want to get better at
Being filmed. Over the past few weeks, I have been asked two times to say a few sentences in front of a camera. The first shooting was for Agile Tour Vilnius conference, a short invitation to my speech. A few sentences, but I spend a few hours thinking what to say,how to say it, and finally, say it. So exhausting. Will I always feel uncomfortable watching myself on video?
This week I was asked to say a few sentences about the stuff I do at work. Two professionals with a gigantic camera, pro microphone, and flawless British accent tried to make me look and sound smarter than I actually am. Poor guys had to listen me saying the same phrase over and over again. Can’t wait to see the final result. Well, that’s not true. I hope the video material gets lost and we won’t see that video.
